Sample Business Plan
- Download a sample business plan.

Sample Financials - An excel spreadsheet that can be used for a business plan. Includes cashflow and profit & loss statements. A copy of the assumptions to this cashflow can also be downloaded.

Personal Budget - Important for identifying level of drawings required for business viability.


Cashbook Template - Simple excel template for an electronic cashbook.

SWOT Analysis Example - An example of how the SWOT Analysis links through to other parts of the business plan. Provides a useful way of using the SWOT to complete strategic goals and forward plans.

Risk Analysis Example - An example of a risk analysis template. Once completed this forms part of the business plan.

Marketing Plan Example - Simple marketing plan example.

Useful Websites - A list of some useful websites for informing on starting and running a business.


Work and Income Clients
A number of our clients are funded through Work and Income's Enterprise Allowance Scheme. For these clients they must complete the following visits.

One Month Visit
Clients must attend within four weeks of approval from Work and Income and must bring with them to the meeting:
  1. Photocopies of all their receipts plus the originals. All receipts must be dated after the date that the client was approved for the grant by Work and Income;
  2. A copy of their up-to-date cashbook. (Download excel template)
  3. A summary sheet of what was proposed to be spent and what has been spent by category. (Download word or pdf template)
This information must be completed for this meeting to take place and payments to be processed.


Three Month Visit - Mid Financial
Clients must attend within twelve weeks of approval from Work and Income.  At this meeting they must bring:
  1. A copy of their cashbook to date; (Download excel template)
  2. A copy of their original cashflow forecast that was submitted in their business plan;
  3. Business bank statements for the past three months. If printed statements are not available then internet banking allows you to print the last hundred days of transactions;
  4. A cashflow summary for the first three months. This can either be completed within the cashbook template or alternative an example is available for download; (Download excel example)
  5. A cashflow forecast for the next six months. This can be based from their original forecast or alternatively a template is available for download with an example that can also be downloaded if required. (Download excel template or  excel example)
This information must be completed for this meeting to take place and payments to be processed.

Visits are also required after four and six months but requirements for these will be individually discussed with each client.
